Works: Removal of asbestos insulating board soffits to all properties
Project Description
January 2019 saw us commence work to remove Asbestos Insulating Board (AIB) soffits to all properties at Regina Court, Salford. All works were carried out on behalf of Salix Homes.
Only a licensed asbestos removal contractor can remove the material in question and all works were carried out under fully controlled conditions complete with airlock entry system and air extraction equipment.
With the work area being situated at high level, we required a fixed scaffold to be erected at the properties in order to carry out the works safely. The scaffold was erected on behalf of the principal site contractor Connolly Ltd. Working at height regulations were adhered to in the form of handrails and toe boards and safely fixing the access equipment to the buildings.
Each section of the project lasted one day each which included site set-up, removal, fine cleaning, air test and enclosure deconstruction.
